A VINTAGE WEDDING IN VITTORIO VENETO

Here is a vintage-style wedding, inspired by the 1930s, that was celebrated in Serravalle di Vittorio Veneto, between Treviso and Belluno.

To arrange the bouquet for Alessandra I took inspiration from some images of the wonderful divas of those years, the 1930s. In that period elegant ladies started to wear mermaid dresses accompanied by important bouquets, made with flowers, feathers and hanging ribbons.

So I wanted to create an important arrangements using the flowers of the past: carnations are the main flowers while the feathers are all vegetable, just because they are the inflorescences of Phragmites australis, the common “swamp straw”.
